Raw ground beef recalled in nine states due to possible plastic contamination

(CNN) A Chicago organization is recollecting about 2020 pounds of uncooked dirt meat, which was exported to nine categories, national health administrators said.

the USDA Food and Safety Inspection Service said Friday. They say that beef is being withdrawn due to possible contamination with thin flexible plastic.

Two clients complained about the detection of a foreign body in beef, which caused a recall.

According to the staff, one-pound vacuum-packed packets with many keys “0060”, case code “11402” and use or refrigerate continuously the date “01/31/2020” on the commodity label are subject to retraction.

FSIS said,  the shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. On January 6 products were produced.

There have been no verified news of disease or unfavorable effects.
